INSTANT POT BLACK BEANS (no soaking required)



INGEDIENTS


1 onion, chopped

3 cloves of garlic, minced

5-6 cups water

1 teaspoon salt

Pepper to taste




DIRECTIONS


  1. Rinse the black beans thoroughly and remove any debris.

  2. Place the beans in the Instant Pot along with the chopped onion, minced garlic, minced jalapeno, cumin powder, salt, and pepper

  3. Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to the sealing position.

  4. Cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.

  5. Allow the pressure to release naturally for 20 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure.

  6. Carefully open the Instant Pot and stir.

  7. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
