feed the entire family.
To make this soup, start by chopping your carrots, celery, and onion. After you have them chopped add it to the crockpot with chicken, seasonings, and chicken broth. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
After sherd chicken. Add heavy cream or milk (for lower fat options) with flour mixed in to crockpot to make it creamy.
TIPS ON MAKING THIS SOUP EVEN MORE MACRO FRIENDLY
Switch out heavy whipping cream for half and half. Note that fat will come down but carbs will increase.
Or switch out heavy whipping cream for fair life milk. You can use non fat or 2% and both will bring down fat calories.
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 pounds chicken breast
1/2 (100g) onion, chopped
3 (140g) carrots, chopped
3 (130g) celery, chopped
3 garlic, minced
salt/pepper
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 Tbsp flour
DIRECTIONS
In your crockpot add onion, carrots, celery, wild rice, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, pepper, chicken broth. Mix well. Add chicken breast.
Cook on low for 6-7 hours.
Remove chicken and shred. Add chicken back to crockpot.
Mix together heavy whipping cream and flour. Add to crockpot and mix well. Let cook for another 15-20 minutes.
